One of Your Favorite Illinois Malls is Closing for Good
Some not so great news for mall lovers, one of your favorite suburban malls is set to close forever this month.
Growing up in the 1990s, malls were my thing. Malls were everyone's thing! We even had a game (that my parents never let me own...) called Mall Madness. Shopping is just what we did with most of our free time and honestly I wouldn't want it any other way.
Sure, we have Amazon now, and the ability to order our groceries and so much more from our phones while we're sitting at work, but there's something extra special about spending your entire Saturday at the mall.

I lived closest to Woodfield Mall as a kid, which I will forever be grateful for, but my best friends lived a little ways away, which is why I also spent a bunch of time at Stratford Square Mall in Bloomindale.
Stratford is officially closing its doors this month, on April 21, according to the Daily Herald.
The mall will close at 6 p.m. on Sunday the 21, after years of stores leaving and the village of Bloomingdale now owning the property.
While I always loved shopping at Woodfield more, Stratford had the better food court and there was an arcade there that I gave a LOT of my money too.
Are you sad to see another mall go? Will you make a stop there before the doors shut forever? Let me know in the app chat.
