I recently saw a long movie, and surprisingly, because of its long run time, the film gave us a 15-minute intermission.
When it comes to youth sports, there is also an intermission. It's called halftime, well, most of the time.

The only problem is that most parents don't want half-time. The game is already long enough for them.
Half time exists to give the players a break to recharge for the second half, but some would like things to get a move on.
That's why Rockford parents chimed in when asked this question:

Going in, I felt one of the leading vote getters would be baseball.
As much as I love the sport, I knew baseball would get dragged through the mud.
Yes, it's a challenging youth sport to get through, but it's a fun game to watch when the ball is in play
So sure yes, maybe baseball does deserve a spot on the list.
Overall, I found 10 different sports parents bemoaned the length.

In the end though, the memories made, the skills learned and the victories (big or small) make it all worth the time.
Even if you are counting down the innings or checking the clock, there's a time when you'll miss these long games more than you thought possible.
