Illinois & Wisconsin Warned: Your Celsius Drinks Might Be Boozy
If you bought Celsius in Illinois recently, double-check your cans—some were mistakenly filled with alcoholic High Noon seltzer.
Yes, this is real. This is not a drill.
High Noon just issued a voluntary recall because some of their vodka seltzers were accidentally labeled as Celsius Energy drinks.
How. Does. This. Happen?!

Imagine reaching for a can to fuel your morning workout, but instead you're halfway through a High Noon. People all over the internet are joking that it's the "best pre-workout they've ever had", or it's the kind of energy they needed on a Monday.
According to the FDA, 12-pack cases of High Noon's Beach Variety shipped out between July 21st and July 23rd were involved in this recall. Some of the cans, like Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, accidentally contained vodka!
High Noon made an effort to say it was a labeling error by the can supplier.

The recall actually affects two production lots and was distributed to stores in Wisconsin, Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, and Virginia. So, if you're in Illinois like me, it's not "officially" listed, but we all know someone who makes a Wisconsin run every once in a while. These cans definitely made their way into Illinois, no doubt.
Luckily, no illnesses were reported, but that doesn't mean your can is safe. Check your Celsius Energy drinks asap! Because if you're expected caffeine over booze, that's a totally different kind of buzz. Better safe than sorry!
