Things To Do: See Murals & Street Art in Downtown Rockford

Rockford's art scene has taken its beauty to the streets in downtown Rockford. Have you seen it in person yet?!

In 2024, Rockford has really transformed this city into something greater than it has ever been. One of my favorite things to see when I'm driving downtown is all the art! It's been amping up this summer and it's a beautiful sight to see!

Rockford's Vibrant Street Art Scene Is An Absolute Must-See

This is just a small glimpse into the beautiful art we have. At the intersection of E. State Street and First Street, you'll find these paintings.

Maybe you're further down on Madison Street by Lombardi Club - you have to stop and take a picture in front of the new murals under the Whitman St. bridge! Shoutout to local artists, Jenny Mathews and Sarah Reed, for bringing this to life.

I love driving past this every day, it's my favorite mural in town, by far.

While you're walking to Rockford City Market, Friday Night Flix, or Dinner on the Dock, you might spot these along the way!

If you're near the City Market Pavilion, check out the new Splash Pad that opened, too. It'll give the kiddos a chance to cool off this summer and spend some time outdoors at the Millennium Fountain.
