Rockford Firefighter Hopes to Expand Coffee Business
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Some wear capes, some wear tights and masks; some even wear aprons (baristas, duh). The one thing they all have in common is that they're life savers.
One of those heroes is Rockford firefighter, Luke Schneider; who doesn't just save people and pets from fires, he's saving your pocketbook and your sanity with his coffee business. I say sanity because let's face it, most of us would not be sane if it wasn't for our daily cup or cups of Joe.
According to WIFR, Schneider has been operating Fire Department Coffee out of a store front on 20th street for the last six months and they're looking to expand.
Created after realizing how much coffee he and his fellow firefighters were drinking, Schneider hopes to offer hard working people a quality coffee at an affordable price.
The best part is, is that a larger portion of the sales from Fire Department Coffee go to firefighter and veterans assistance programs.
Even better, Schneider is giving you an opportunity to win a free year of coffee. To sign up and to learn more about Fire Department Coffee, you can visit their website here.
