Rockford Indie Film Starts Production And Will be Casting Soon
Two Illinois film producers are preparing for production in Rockford. Chris Pratola and Gary Camarano plan to produce a new indie film based in Rockford called "SCREW CITY."
The film tells a story about a rustbelt-city teenager who is about to graduate from high school in Rockford and trying to escape is dead-end life through his punk rock band. Chuck, the story's main character, relies on his best friends to stick around and form a band known as Stick Figure.
One of the producers Chris Pratola told WIFR -
We're ready to go. The script is finished, the shoot dates set. We are finalizing funding, and when we’re finished, we will jump right into casting and pre-production

The film will offer casting calls when the production crew plans to film in Rockford. Pratola and Camarano will host a webinar for those interested in getting involved on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
