Rockford Man Who Received ‘Dream Wedding’ Two Weeks Ago Has Died

Chris Stroud, from Rockford, along with his new bride, Gina were part of a dream wedding just a few weeks ago.

Stroud, suffering from brain cancer, "knew he wouldn't be able to pay for the wedding they wanted to have" so Heartland Hospice stepped in and put the whole thing together in only three weeks.

Sadly, news broke today Chris died earlier this week according to Heartland Hospice.

WREX says Heartland Hospice "will follow up with Chris' family, including Gina, for at least the next 13 months to offer support.

A bittersweet ending to an incredible wedding day story for Chris Stroud.
