Rockford Priest Rescued in Charles Street Flood

Another round of heavy storms, another round of flooding in Rockford.

Rockford made national news last time we had epic rain and flooding because of what happened on Charles Street and it seems last night a similar situation occurred.

At the corner of Charles Street and 9th, a Rockford priest, Ricard Hernandez was stuck in his white Mini Cooper, when a man showed up and pushed him out of the flood.

That man is Mariano Cuevas and according to the Rockford Register Star, Cuevas recognized Hernandez as a former priest at St. Patrick Catholic Church on School Street.
