Rockford Starbucks Locations to Raise Prices Mid-July

Well here's some news you probably weren't expecting to hear after a long weekend, but it probably won't come as a shock to you either- Starbucks has decided to raise their prices by as much as 30 cents on select drinks effective July 12th.

Unfortunately, according to Fox 32, the chain has yet to specify which drinks will be more expensive, but it sounds like you might have already been paying that extra chunk of change on your iced caramel macchiato as the company announced that due to a computer glitch, the price change was implemented ahead of schedule at certain locations.

If you're like me, you're probably just shrugging your shoulders at the news and saying to yourself, "eh, it's Starbucks, it's expected that they're going to raise their prices. Maybe I just won't buy as many of those cold brews with sweet cream anymore and just limit myself to one a month; you know- for a treat." Or, you're up in arms and think this is just absurd; why pay $5 for a cup of coffee when you can save money and just make your own?

Either way, will the price hike have any influence on your Starbucks habit? Would you even notice the change or question it?
