Rockford Will Be Overloaded with Spiders This Fall, Here’s Why
Yeah, you're not crazy, you've been seeing more spiders than ever in Rockford lately and it's not going to stop anytime soon.
Who can we blame?
Those pesky summer mosquitoes that were working overtime this summer.
What's worse, mosquitoes or spiders?
I have to say they're equally awful.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Jim Fredericks, chief entomologist at the National Pest Management Association says, 'the Midwest saw heavy rains and an increase in temperatures toward the end of the summer, leading to more mosquitoes, which means there’s an abundance of food for spiders to catch in their webs.'
Which makes sense if you think about it. All of the extra bugs we've been dealing with are asking to be eaten... by spiders.
Hopefully they eat the bugs and not you while you're sleeping.
