Rockford’s Fred Van Vleet Wins 2nd Player of the Year Honor
Wichita State senior Fred Van Vleet has joined an elite group of Missouri Valley Conference players who've won the award twice during their college career.
According to kansas.com, Fred first won the honor his sophomore year in 2014 and is now the 9th MVC player to win it two times and the first to do it in non-consecutive years. He is only the 4th Wichita State Shocker to score this honor and only the second Shocker to win it twice. He joins Xavier McDaniel.
The Shocker's finished their regular season by beating Illinois State and now we wait for March 14. That's the day the NCAA tournament field will be announced.
