Rockford’s Mystery Stroll on State Couple Revealed

A magical moment at Stroll on State turned into a hunt to find the mystery couple.

The holiday season kicked off last Saturday at Stroll on State in downtown Rockford and one of the biggest moments of the day was the tree lighting.

This year, there was more than just the tree lighting pulling in attention.

A couple got engaged right in front of the tree and we, along with many others in Rockford, couldn't wait to hear their story.

Meet Jake and Paige.

Jake actually called me earlier this week saying that while he was planning to propose to Paige, the whole tree lighting, jumping the fence thing was impromptu.

Clearly it was also perfect.
