School Bus Driver Buried in Casket Painted Like Bus He Drove for 55 Years
Glen Paul Davis, from Grand Meadow, Minnesota had driven a school bus in that small town since 1949.
20 years ago, Glen made a joke with his friend (and funeral home owner) Jim Hindt, about being buried in a casket that looked like a school bus. Jim made that joke a reality six years ago, when he ordered a casket that looked exactly like a school bus. Glen was excited about the idea of one day being laid to rest in a coffin painted to look exactly like the school bus he drove for many generations of local families.
A friend painted it 'school bus yellow' and Glen's niece painted the detail.
