Whether you have a big job interview, you're giving a presentation at school or you just need an extra bump of confidence to go through your regular Tuesday, a little boost is something we can all use.

When I used to live in L.A., whenever I felt like I was missing my friends and family, I would always wear the same yellow sweater.

Sure, you're thinking, Michelle, just how many days did you wear that sweater... and you're right I wore it a lot, but it still helped, especially when I was dealing with a crazy boss who wanted me to work all the hours in a day without paying me a cent. More on that a different day, this post is about you feeling confident.

I'm sure there's something you and I need confidence for today or sometime soon and Thought Catalog is here to help us.

Some of these are time consuming, #2... but we can probably take care of #7 & #11 by the end of the day.

  1. Have at least one outfit in your closet you feel hot in.
  2. Find a passion and pursue it, whether it’s writing a novel or biking a triathlon.
  3. Sit in front of your mirror and look at your body. Embrace everything you see as a “flaw.”
  4. Get a hairbrush and sing "All About That Bass," and break out your best dance move.
  5. Spend time with people that will drop everything to help you.
  6. Take a long walk, or hike to remind yourself who you are and who you want to be.
  7. Have a lipstick that instantly makes you feel hot.
  8. Call your grandma.
  9. Act positive, even if you feel like s**t.
  10. Take a long shower; feeling clean will make you feel good.
  11. Take a selfie and put a filter on it.
