Those two months that felt like two years were worth it, but we're not done social distancing yet.

If you've been wondering if all this quarantine was worth it? It was.

A new study shows shutdown orders prevented about 60 million novel coronavirus infections in the United States and 285 million in China. And according to The Washington Post -

A separate study from epidemiologists at Imperial College London estimated that the shutdowns saved about 3.1 million lives in 11 European countries, including 500,000 in the United Kingdom, and dropped infection rates by an average of 82 percent, sufficient to drive the contagion well below epidemic levels.

So if you were wondering, social distancing is working. The good news came in a study titled "The effect of large-scale anti-contagion policies on the COVID-19 pandemic". It's A LOT of numbers and words and science, but all you really need to know is what we're doing is working.
But we aren't done social distancing, and I have a feeling we wont be for a while. But at least we know all the effort we're putting into it isn't going to waste. You can read the full study here.
