Starbucks is Ready to Transition from Summer to Fall with the Horchata Frappucino
According to the calendar, fall doesn't officially arrive until September 22nd. According to Rockford parents, the unofficial start to the autumn season is August 16th, the first day of school.
But, according to Starbucks, fall has come even earlier, as in right now. Their new frappuccino, the Horchata Frappuccino, screams dog days of summer with it's ice cold creamy goodness, but it sure does taste like mid-October with it's blend of cinnamon, vanilla, almond milk, caramel, whipped cream and sugar sprinkles.
So, what's Horchata, anyway? WGN says it's a popular milk drink in Mexico and Central America that's spiced with cinnamon and vanilla. It tastes just like Rumchata, just minus the rum. Yes, this frappuccino is going to taste just like your favorite "girl's night out" shots (Rumchata and Fireball or a Rumball), minus the whiskey.
The Horchata Frappuccino is now being served at all Rockford area locations.
