Suburban Chicago Cop Stops Suicidal Teen From Jumping In Front Of Train
A suburban Chicago cop is acknowledged after preventing a suicidal girl from jumping in front of a train.
Waukegan Police Officer Christopher Harris stopped the 17-year-old girl from taking her life and his heroic efforts were all caught on bodycam.
In the thrilling video, you can here Harris yell "Hey, come here, Come here." at the suicidal girl. She ignores Harris' request forcing him to tackle her to the ground just moments before the train passes by.
According to the Lake McHenry Scanner, "the young girl was uninjured and transported to an area hospital for a psychological evaluation."
Regarding his heroic actions, Harris told Fox 32 in Chicago, "We signed up for it. Not to be too cliché but we're just police officers doing our job."
