After a stagnant couple of weeks at the Stateline drive-ins, there's finally a new movie in the mix. Disney's Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson (The Rock, do we have to keep reminding people of that?) and Emily Blunt. It's based on the ride at Disneyland that they recently re-opened, and modified.

You can catch Jungle Cruise as the first of two features at The McHenry and Route 34 drive-ins.

Weather is supposed to break for the weekend so don't forget a blanket.

Here's what else is playing about an hour from Rockford this weekend:

McHenry Drive-In - McHenry, IL

They will be going with the latest Marvel movie after Jungle Cruise. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

Rt. 34 Drive-In, Mendota, IL

Rt. 34 will also be showing an origin story but sticking with the older source material after they show Jungle Cruise and going with Emma Stone's Cruella. The 101 Dalmatians origin story. It's still getting good reviews.

SkyVu Drive-in - Monroe, WI

They will be making the curious decision to stick with Boss Baby: Family Business. That of course is the sequel to Boss Baby. Maybe it's big with the kids, I'm not sure.

They will be following that up with the 10th movie (don't forget Hobbs and Shaw) in the Fast and Furious franchise F9: Family Really Matters This Time. There's a NINE minute trailer for this.

Highway 18 Drive-In - Jefferson, WI

The Highway 18 drive-in is running back a classic for the 3rd week in a row if I'm not mistaken. First up is Space Jam 2: Jordan's Was Better.

Then throwing the parent's a bone and throwing on the 1985 classic Goonies for a nice hit of nostalgia before you drive home.

Midway Drive-In - Sterling, IL

We usually include the Midway with the schedule but they will be closed for a private event this weekend. Which sounds awesome by the way. They do have next week's schedule up that will include another new movie that looks pretty good. The Suicide Squad.
