Rockford Teacher Celebrated for Her Confidence Building Classroom
97ZOK's Teacher of the Week is being honored most for consistently building confident and resilient young people in her classroom.
97ZOK Teacher of the Week
Congratulations to Caitlin Seibert from Welsh Elementary in Rockford
Caitlin was nominated by Carrie Marinelli, she writes,
My daughter, Lia, is in 2nd grade this year. This is her first time at a new school. She had to be transferred to the school due to the new zoning areas that were in place for this school year. She came into her new classroom without knowing any students and having to start over making new friends and in a new environment. Ms. Seibert welcomed Lia with open arms and an open heart. She immediately made sure Lia felt welcomed and safe during the transition. Lia talks about her teacher all the time and is always excited to fill us in with what she is learning in school. Ms. Seibert has made our daughter more confident in herself and her abilities to learn and make friends and talk about feelings.
The communication between teacher/parent/student is nothing short of outstanding! We are extremely lucky that we have a teacher who is so caring and has such enthusiasm when teaching all her students. We really hope you consider making Ms.Seibert the teacher of the week as we simply cannot express our gratitude towards her enough.
Listen to Caitlin chat with Steve Shannon, including the ridiculous word she says she dislikes most.
