Illinois Mom Praises “Feral” Daughter’s Teacher in Touching Letter
If you're the parent of a "wild child", you also know the kind of gratefulness that fills this Illinois parent's heart.
97ZOK Teacher of the Week
CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Jennifer Midgett from Caledonia Elementary in Caledonia, Illinois
Emily Wauchope nominated Jennifer, she writes:
My youngest daughter a wild child (ok she is feral I’ll say it!) but her teacher the last two school years is just so gentle and patient with her. Evelyn absolutely adores her teacher and all summer we had to stop crying because she missed seeing Mrs Midgett so much. She comes home a happy and smiling girl every single day and is excited each day for drop off. It truly is heartwarming to have a teacher who can tame this girl without crushing her spirit. Mrs Midgett encourages her and has brought out amazing things in our daughter. We are so grateful to have her as Evelyn’s first school teacher/experience and she will be a tough one for future teachers to follow in coming years
As Teacher of the Week, Jennifer was surprised with a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and money to spend at WM Day Spa Salon.
