The #1 Movie In America Was Written By Quad City Natives
Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, 2003 Bettendorf High School grads, now have the most watched movie in the U.S., which makes it very hard to 'keep quiet.'
Beck and Woods wrote the screenplay for the movie A Quiet Place which opened on April 6. In its first weekend of release, the young screenwriters pulled in $50,000,000, nearly doubling the second week box office take ($25,060,000) of veteran Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.
A Quiet Place stars John Krasinski (The Office), who directed the film, and his off-screen wife, Emily Blunt (The Girl On The Train). The movie tells the story of a family who must live in almost complete silence or extremely horrible things will happen to them.
The Quad City Times has more on what this hot new movie-making duo is up to now.
