Grabbing some stats from the FBI's Crime in the United States I figured out the 25 most violent towns in all of Illinois.

Some of the cities on the list won't surprise you. Obviously, the bigger the city, the better the chance for violent crime.

On the other hand, there were a handful of cities with smaller amounts of people who also seem to have an issue with crime.

There were a few other things that stood out, including the inclusion of a slew of towns mostly known for their colleges and universities, which, at times, counts for a massive chunk of the population.
