If you're not there for the football, and since the Bears and Packers aren't representing this year, you should be there for the snacks.

Seriously, when I think Super Bowl, a great game between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs just doesn't excite me.

Do you know what does though? Food. Snacks, apps, large quantities of cheese, meat and grease usually helps make a game where I have no rooting interest into something much more palpable.

With my family, every Super Bowl, we try different apps, but this year we might have to bust out the seven-layer dip. Because seven-layer dip is Illinois' most popular Super Bowl food according to bid-on-equipment.com.

Using the Google AdWords platform, we analyzed search volume trends for more than 130 different types of Super Bowl food and snacks, over the period of January 2019 to February 2019 in all 50 states and the 20 largest cities in the country.

From December 20 to 21, 2019, we surveyed 1,224 Americans. Of respondents, 53 percent were male and 47 percent were female and the average age of respondents was 37 years old.

A traditional seven-layer dip features refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, lettuce, black olives, taco seasoning, and cheddar cheese.

In case you're wondering, the most popular Super Bowl food in Wisconsin is cocktail weenies.
