Hard to believe a couple things about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson this morning. One, according to Forbes.com, The Rock is the 2nd highest paid actor in Hollywood. And two, how could he get any bigger?

He could've shown up and started shooting, but he explained on his Instagram page that he wanted his Hercules to be the DEFINITIVE version. He said

"I only had one crack at making Hercules epic, so I committed."

Part of his commitment was a ridiculous 7-meal-a-day nutrition plan that included:

  • A 10-ounce steak
  • An 8-ounce steak
  • Two 8-ounce pieces of chicken
  • Two 8-ounce pieces of halibut
  • 2 baked potatoes
  • 5 1/2 cups of white rice
  • some oatmeal
  • 2 cups of broccoli
  • 2 cups of asparagus
  • a salad
  • 1-ounce of Casein protein
  • 14 egg whites

Here's the exact meal plan The Rock ate everyday for six months

Even this well-trained, well-fed 42yr. old was brought to his knees.  Here you can read about AND see the scene that caused him to blackout eight times.

"I asked the prop department to lock me in with real steel chains that I couldn't break, so the performance would be real," Johnson posted along with a video on Instagram. "When HERCULES finally accepts his fate of being the son of Zeus, it's THE epic moment of the mythology -- and our movie."
