A new study has revealed the worst towns in Illinois. Can you guess which ones they are?

I'll tell you which one wasn't on the list, Rockford. Ok, so technically, according to the definition of a town, Rockford would fall under the "city" category, but any "worst in Illinois" list that Rockford doesn't make is worth celebrating.

According to a new study done by RoadSnacks, the worst town in Illinois is Benton; located in Franklin County.  Benton's unemployment stands at 9.4%, the average salary is about $29,000, 17% of families live below the poverty line and the town's residents have a 1 in 40 chance of having something stolen from them.

Here are the top ten worst towns in Illinois, none of which are located in the Stateline.

Benton
Danville
East St. Louis
Hoopeston
Kankakee
Litchfield
West Frankfort
Alton
Salem
Decatur

Do you know anyone who lives in one of the worst towns in Illinois?
