Is there anything creepier than abandoned buildings?

I mean they give off that apocalyptic vibe so much that I can't get over it and when it's a hospital that feeling is doubled.

It's eerie. There are beds everywhere, graffiti, broken stuff, and just the remnants of what used to be.

So when I saw this quick clip on the submechanophobia Reddit, a place where "the fear of partially or fully submerged man-made objects" is the subject of every post, I was immediately interested.

The video is a creepy look at the inside of a flooded and frozen-over hospital basement and I can't believe the urban explorer decided to actually step on the ice.

The full video is on YouTube by the Illinois urbex group Decaying Midwest, and that walk didn't last very long.

Because after just a couple of feet onto the ice, you could hear the ice starting to crack underneath him.

Wisely, the urbex dude managed to get out of there before the whole thing busted and he was underwater.

Good thing too. It seemed like that guy decided to explore that part of the basement by himself, and if he fell in, who knows what would've happened.

The clip of the urbex dude on the ice is at the very end of the video. See it HERE or watch it below.
