This Thing Spotted In A Truck Bed, Is it a Wisconsin Or Illinois Thing?
Wouldn't you love to see a side-by-side comparison of crazy things spotted on the road in Wisconsin in Illinois? People are so quick to toss shade at Wisconsin for being Wisconsin yet a lot of Illinoisans drink their beer, buy their fireworks, and "head up north" for the weekend.
In all fairness, both Wisconsin and Illinois have each had a fair share of weirdness spotted on their streets and highways.
First, some Wisconsin stuff.
SEYMOUR, WISCONSIN
In 2021, drivers were shocked and confused when zebras were spotted running along a street. Apparently, their owners lived in Seymour and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources returned them to their home.
ALL OVER ILLINOIS
Well, this isn't going to help my "Wisconsin is weirder than Illinois" argument at all. In 2021, the number of UFO sightings reported over highways in the Land of Lincoln was double that of 2020.
The two states do share another odd characteristic.
There are a huge number of sasquatch "sightings" in both states.
WHAT THE BUCK IS THAT?
An Illinois woman was traveling north on Interstate 90 when she spotted a bizarre object in the back of a truck bed. She snapped some photos not too far from Highway 173 and the vehicle was headed north.
One thing is clear, that's a dead buck, taxidermy. (It is deceased, right?)
I'm not a hunter and I don't know anything about taxidermy nor do I want to. Death freaks me out. I plead ignorance when asking if this is the standard means for transporting big taxidermy?
Is this more of an Illinois or Wisconsin thing? Also, wouldn't a box truck be a better idea? What happens if an object hits the dead buck? With it break into pieces? I seriously have no idea.
