Twitter has officially changed the iconic bird logo to 'X' and nobody is really sure how to feel about it, including myself.

In 2011, I was in 8th grade and my friend told me I would really like Twitter.  I didn't understand what the App was or how to even use it, but she created an account for me.

I didn't use Twitter for a whole year until I was a Freshman in high school.  I told myself I'd start posting tweets and hop on the App before it became popular.  Let me tell ya, I regret nothing.

Within a few months, I started blowing up on Twitter because my sister and I wrote a song about One Direction that went viral. Here's the vid if you wanna watch!

I gained about 100,000 followers in less than a year, trended Worldwide multiple times, raised money for different causes, met most of my friends on Twitter, and had so many opportunities as a teenager that most never would get in their lifetime.

Once I turned 18, I got my first tattoo - a Twitter bird on my shoulder.  I even took a picture with it in front of the iconic Twitter sign at the San Francisco headquarters!

I know it probably sounds stupid to most people, but Twitter set me up for my future and I've landed so many jobs because of my massive following online.  It enabled me to create the life I've always wanted and given me a platform to changes others' lives, too.

To see Twitter now evolve into 'X'... it's weird to me, but times are changing.

I hope the future of this App continues to be as powerful as it was when I was peaking.  Knowing how life-changing social media can be, I have no doubt Elon Musk will transform 'X' into something greater!

Sure, my Twitter bird tattoo might show my age, but it symbolizes an end of an era that I was so grateful to be a part of.
