If you're in need of help during this difficult time, your best resource may very well be this new program from the United Way.

United Way says its 211 hotline is open for anyone in need of resources during the coronavirus outbreak. They've staffed the hotline with 500 people to answer your calls

The hotline is designed to help with things like rent assistance, food, utility assistance and childcare, according to MyStatelie.com.

The hotline will also have counselors available to help anyone feeling anxious or scared.

If you work for an agency that provides services that the United Way would likely recommend to a caller: United Way is asking any agencies that can help to contact them to make sure an up-to-date list of resources is available.
