University of Illinois Student Names New Insect After Lady Gaga
When an insect has devils horn on its head, you must name this newly identified bug after Lady Gaga.
Not my words but that was what CNN has said when referring to the Kaikaia gaga, an insect "that populates most forests on Earth."
The coolest part about naming the insect after Lady Gaga was that the name came from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana entomology grad student, Brendan Morris.
Morris told the Illinois News Bureau:
If there is going to be a Lady Gaga bug, it’s going to be a treehopper, because they’ve got these crazy horns, they have this wacky fashion sense about them, they’re unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
