29 Most Important ‘Unofficial’ Food Rules Illinois Peeps Agree On
When it comes to food, there are very few states that compare to Illinois. But with our great food, come very specific food rules, and here they are.
A big, and very specific 'unofficial' food rule being broken was recently mentioned on The Steve Shannon Show. It was also the moment I realized it is one of many 'unofficial' food rules being enforced in many homes.
Breaking an 'Unofficial' Food Rule
I haven't broken too many of these rules in my life, I'm proud to say. I may have double-dipped a few times, but I never leave meat on chicken wing bones. There was a time as a child when I made the mistake of putting ketchup on my hot dog, thankfully I grew out of that long before moving to Illinois.
The worst part of breaking one of these rules is when you think that you may be breaking one of these rules, and then you ask people on Facebook what they think.
The food rule that was mentioned on the show involved a Drumstick ice cream treat.

In a Facebook post, a woman asked,
Am I the ONLY one who doesn’t like the chocolate at the end of Drumsticks
Guess what happened?
The food rule-breaker got Facebook-assaulted.
But, they're not wrong.

There was some good that came from it all, look at what you can buy in stores. Just like the little Drumstick-like bottoms.
