WCHD Advises Residents To Not Travel To Wisconsin, Again
Back in June of 2020, Winnebago County entered "Phase 4" of mitigation as part of the Restore Illinois Plan. In October, the mitigation increased as the area continues to fight and navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this week, Winnebago County Health Department (WCHD) released an updated "Travel Guidance" for residents a few days before mitigation in Illinois is expected to loosen.
Part of this "travel guidance" includes a list of states Winnebago County residents are discouraged from visiting, no matter what the reason is. Guess what? Wisconsin is back on the list. On the flip side, WCHD dropped four other states from the list. As a refresher, here is what is expected should you travel to a "don't go there" state.
Individuals traveling to/from [the following] states or hosting visitors from the following states should self-quarantine for 14 days upon return to the region and/or after the date the visitors have left.
Winnebago County's "travel guidelines" are reviewed/updated on a weekly basis.
