The crew at NerdWallet measured household income, home prices, family credit limits, and more. The wealthiest city is: Naperville, IL.

The cities that were ranked had to have a population of at least 65,000. That's why WGN TV says it wasn't Oak Brook, Barrington or Kenilworth.

• Median household income: $104,419
• Median home price: $364,300
• Percent of homes with no mortgage: 23 percent
• Average credit limit: $67,075

Newton, Massachusetts was #1, Naperville came in 19th in the U.S. overall. Other cities in Illinois include:
