Gander Outdoors CEO, Marcus Lemonis had a very simple reply to our request asking if he'd consider letting Rockford keep the flag.

Last week, when the announcement was made that the Gander Outdoors store on Perryville Road in Rockford would be closing, my brain immediately went to - what would happen to that beautiful American flag?

We wondered aloud, on the show, if there could be a way to save it from leaving.

It took just a few days of tagging, tweeting and emailing to get the host of CNBC's The Profit and Gander Outdoors CEO, Marcus Lemonis, to reach out to us.
