Who knew you could actually still have fun without the internet?
Putting Down Your Phone And Enjoying Old School Entertainment.
This whole "staying home" thing has really put a twist on life as we know it. I can go on and on about it but for the purpose of this discuss, I would like to focus on just one area.
We are in a digital age. There's a mini computer in the palm of our hand. Sometimes, I think people are too concerned about status on Social Media instead of their own family. You can have a group sitting in one room together but not interacting with each other.
If you want to find good in a bad situation, here it is. Families are bonding again. They are putting down the devices and spending time together. I'm talking quality hanging.
I look out my living room window and I see families out taking a walk with each other. I'm impressed for both reasons.
They are going back and enjoying old school non-electronic fun like playing board games.and reading books I had to go to the pharmacy and I saw a puzzle display. Some are even building toy models.
According to wgnradio.com, "Toy model kits are making a comeback."
I didn't think I would ever see the day of these types of activities being popular again.
Don't get me wrong, I spend plenty of time on the internet and watching Netflix I just think it's really cool.
Here's some other things I would like to see make a comeback
- Model Trains
- Flying Kites
- Coloring Books
- Remote Control Cars
