Wisconsin 8-Year-Old with Down Syndrome Scores Touchdown in High School Football Game

Gabe White, an 8-year-old with Down Syndrome, spends much of his time cheering on his big brother and the rest of the Rhinelander High School football team.

According to ABC7 News, White hopes to play for the team one day.

Last week, he was given a chance. White was named honorary captain for the game against Mosinee High School.

White also was given a chance to score a touchdown too. Both teams stayed on the field for a final play, and White took the kickoff while the Mosinee players, in a great show of sportsmanship, made diving attempts at tackling him while he scampered his way into the endzone.
