Here Are the 10 Most Dangerous Cities in Wisconsin
As a born and raised Illinois guy, trips to Wisconsin usually entail some form of event.
Whether it be traveling to Milwaukee for a Cubs game or heading up to the Northwoods for some summer relaxation it's difficult for me to speak on just how "dangerous" some of the cities in Wisconsin are because we are usually in and out or just plain secluded.
Thankfully, Crime Data IO listed the most dangerous cities in the entire state and I have to admit I was kind of surprised to see some of the names.
Crime Data IO used 12 different factors when placing each city such as family conditions, climate, law enforcement resources, transportation infrastructure, and overall public attitudes.
They say "Understanding these multifaceted factors is essential for interpreting crime statistics effectively and developing targeted strategies for crime prevention and community safety."
Here's the 10 Most Dangerous Cities in Wisconsin:
10. Barbaboo in Sauk County
9. Sheboygan Falls in Sheboygan County
8. Plymouth in Sheboygan County
7. Wisconsin Rapids in Wood County
6. Monona in Dane County
5. McFarland in Dane County
4. West Salem in LaCrosse County
3. Brown Deer in Milwaukee County
2. Glendale in Milwaukee County
1. Milwaukee in Milwaukee County
Are you surprised to see the three most dangerous cities in Wisconsin located in Milwaukee County?
According to Crime Data IO stats, the total crime rate in Milwaukee is nearly five times higher than the rest of the state.
That said, there is a bit of a small silver lining for Wisconsin as the crime rate is lower statewide compared to the rest of the US.
