You Can Paint a Square on State Street This Summer
A little artsy, a little messy and a whole lot of fun, you can paint a square on State St on June 24.
I went to college at Drake University. No one cared when it was Homecoming, but EVERYONE cared when it was Drake Relays. A weekend in April devoted to school spirit, parties, running (kind of) and of course, painting the squares.
The Saturday before Relays we painted the street. It was an all-day super fun event where you painted squares with your organization, and pretty much ended up covered in paint yourself.
So, when I saw this 'Paint on State' event in Belvidere, I had to investigate.
Just $5 and you and get supplies to paint a 4 ft x 4 ft square on State Street in Belvidere on June 24 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
