It might not be summer just yet, but the seasonal events are here and in full swing this weekend in Illinois.

The closer we went to June, the more and more local markets open up, and not just Farmer's Markets—we're talking thrifty, crafty, artsy markets with local vendors from around the region.

Rockford City Market returns to downtown Rockford this weekend to kick off the 2025 season.  There will be food trucks, live music, drink specials, tons of local vendors, and a good time with friends down by the river!

A little further from Rockford, some of Illinois' top markets will be open, too.  I will be at all of them (I'm hoping!)!

Pec Thing @ Winnebago County Fairgrounds

Saturday, 5/17 - Sunday, 5/18 from 8-4pm, the Winnebago Fairgrounds will be packed with over 500 vendors selling the coolest, most unique goods from vintage, jewelry, yard decor, sports memorabilia, tools, records, furniture, and so much for everyone to love!  There's over 100,000 square feet of merchandise. $5/person at the gate & kids under 12 are free!

Elkhorn Flea Market

Sunday, May 18th 7-3pm at the Walworth County Fairgrounds, browse over 500 vendors with tons of antique and vintage treasures.  There will even be food vendors on-site to restore your energy after all your shopping! $5/person, rain or shine.

Wolff's Flea Market

Sundays at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois from 6-2pm, you'll find hundreds of small businesses with thrifted goods, books, vintage, clothing, delicious food, and produce.  They have a full schedule of when they'll be open this year here.

If there's one thing that puts me in a good mood: it's a crazy thrift find.

I'm so excited to find all sorts of goodies I don't need but absolutely will impulse buy at all of these markets.  Fingers crossed I make it to all of them this weekend, it'll be a lot of driving, but totally worth it!
