Rosko’s ex-husband, Duane Meyer, reported the fire at 2020 Silverthorn Drive around 6:40 a.m. on Oct. 19, 2016. He told investigators he was at the house to pick up his son.
At this time, Maggie Rosko Meyer was found dead in the living room where the fire had started.
In 2018 Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle told RRStar.com the investigation was still active.
“We continue to work on it weekly with different things as part of the investigation, but it’s still very active and we spend a lot of time on it,” VanVickle said. “It’s our goal to make an arrest in the case and to bring closure for the family and friends.”
Today's arrest comes nearly three years after the incident.
