These are just some of the towns that go all out for Halloween according to bestthingsil.com. It's hard to plan anything for Halloween since it's on a Monday, but maybe take an extended weekend to try some of what Illinois has to offer when it comes to Halloween.

For me, I'll wait until the Christmas list comes out of what towns to visit. I may have to make a few plans to check out some of the popular towns then. I'm not a big fan of being scared, however, I do like a good candy shop.
