What's the first thing you do after work?

If it's grabbing a beer or a glass of wine, you might be a miner.

Like someone who works in the mines, "hi ho... hi ho" style. According to a government study, the mining industry is more likely to drink than any other job industry.

I don't know any miners, so I can't say whether or not I believe this to be true. The rest of the list though, I bet we can all agree with.

Coming in second... construction workers, 16.5 percent of construction workers are considered heavy drinkers in this study, which means drinking more than 5 drinks on one occasion, on five or more of the last 30 days.

In third place, hotel and restaurant workers. Ding, ding, ding! This is actually what I expected to come in at number one, but remember I don't know any miners so I forgot about them... I do, however know a lot of people that work in the hotel and restaurant service industry and they like drinks. I used to work in that industry too, I get it for sure. After hours and hours of traveling across a restaurant carrying fruity $5 martinis on a Wednesday night, when you're done, you want a fruit martini.

In fourth place we have the arts, entertainment and recreation industry. That's your celebrities, athletes and artists, and then in fifth place, utility workers.

Are you surprised?
