The photo above says it all, it.is.happening and it all starts tonight; the Chicago Cubs first appearance in the World Series since 1945. Are you pumped? I know I am and I'm not even a life-long fan of the team; I'm one of the hundreds of thousands who've jumped on the Cubs bandwagon and I'm hoping you'll welcome me with open arms for the rest of this wild and crazy ride.

To prove I'm dedicated, I've committed to getting the following items that I believe every bandwagon fan needs in order to be ready for the World Series.

1. Cubs gear, obviously.

Who doesn't need a reason to buy new clothes? Plus red, white and blue looks really good on you.

2. A "Fly the W" flag.

Every die hard Cubs fan has a "Fly the W" flag which means you should probably get one too. If you're going to jump on this bandwagon, you might as well go all in, plus they just look cool.

3. Copies of all the movies that feature the team or Wrigley Field.

Watching movies of your favorite sports team, whether they're winning or losing, makes you love them even more and it really builds up the excitement and anticipation that life is indeed imitating art. Here's what you should add to your DVD collection: Rookie of the Year, Taking Care of Business, Opportunity Knocks, The Blues Brothers, A League of Their Own, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

4. Tissues

If they win, you'll probably cry, same goes for if they lose. You saw the reaction from life-long fans when they won the NLCS, right? You'll probably need extra for those guys.

5. Another bandwagon fan.

Sure, you'll get excited when Anthony Rizzo hits a homerun or Kris Bryant gets a grand slam but not so excited that you're jumping out of your seat and losing your voice over it. Don't be the only one sitting down in a room full of Cubs fans just clapping; find someone you can sit and clap with and then graciously give the fanatics a high five.

Am I missing anything? Is there something else that you Cubs fans suggest we bandwagon fans invest in if we're going to be watching the World Series with you?
