6 Times It’s Ok to Fall Asleep at 8pm [LIST]
You don't have to defend your bedtime... but if you want to have an excuse for falling asleep before the sun goes down, I have six for you.
Last night I fell asleep at 8:15. Here's what happened. I went to go get coffee at around 3 yesterday afternoon. I ordered something new, it was delicious, but I have a suspicious feeling it had little to no caffeine at all.
Oops.
You see, I have an incredible caffeine addiction. It's pretty treacherous. On most days I need to have three "doses" of caffeine. Sometimes four. Yesterday I only had two. Plus it was Monday. Hence the falling asleep.
I contemplated staying up purely so when my roommate came home she didn't think I was a loser who went to bed at 8, but then I remembered she doesn't care what time I go to sleep and also that she knows I can stay up until 5am on the weekend, so I hit the pillow.
I decided to come up with six times it's ok to fall asleep at 8pm in case I need to defend myself to someone.
- When you were up until 3am the night before and then woke up at 6:30 to go to work.
- When you ate an entire pizza for dinner. Pizza = sleep.
- When there is nothing on TV at all and it's raining.
- When you thought you drank caffeine at 3pm but you didn't.
- When wine was part of happy hour.
- If you're a parent... it's ok to fall asleep at 8pm whenever you get the chance!
