9 Things to do in Illinois Before September
Summer is slowly fading away... but it's not over yet! There's still time to have some summer fun before September, here's a list to inspire you.
August is a quick one.
It seems like yesterday we were celebrating the Fourth of July and now all of the sudden you're getting your kids ready to go back to school.
BUT. Summer isn't over yet. We have three full weekends in front of us before Labor Day and we need to make the most of it.
Because, I hate to remind you but fall doesn't last too long here in Illinois, but winter does.
So enjoy the warmth while you can!
I asked the all-important question, 'What's one thing you want to do before summer is over?' on Instagram to get some inspiration, and I got some really great answers including these.
9 Things to do in Illinois before September 1st
- Tubing down the river
- Mini golfing at Volcano Falls
- Go to Wrigley and see the Cubs
- Get a giant ice cream cone after dinner
- Rock river float
- See another outside concert
- Have a lake day
- Karaoke with friends
- Go Camping
The river, lake and camping ideas you can probably plan by yourself, if that's your thing.
If mini golf is you thing, Volcano Falls is currently open every day at 10am and most of our favorite ice cream places are open through the early days of fall.
The Cubs have thee homestands left this summer, the White Sox are in town 8/15 and 8/16, the Royals 8/18-8/10 and the Brewers are here 8/28-8/30.
And I'd be happy to sing karaoke with you anytime at The Rue Marche.
