Aldi To Pay Rockford Employees To Get COVID-19 Vaccine
Talk about incentivizing your employees to do the right thing.
By all accounts, the fastest way to end the coronavirus pandemic is to get the vaccine.
While there are those who have strong feelings toward not getting the shot, companies are now starting to offer cash as a way to get it done.
Money talks, so anyone on the fence regarding the COVID-19 vaccine might be a little more willing now.
Aldi sure hopes so.
In a press release Tuesday, the grocery chain said it would provide hourly workers with two hours of pay for each dose they receive, totaling up to four hours. They will also work with salaried employees who want to receive the vaccine.
There are 6 Aldi locations in the Rockford area including stores in Machesney Park, Roscoe, Loves Park, and Belvidere.
Aldi is not the first company to offer "cash for shot" incentives. NBC says Dollar General unveiled a similar payout plan for employees last week.
What about you? Has your employer suggested they would be willing to pay you to get the COVID-19 vaccine? Personally, I'm going to do it for free. I'm ready to get on with things.
