If you live in Illinois and want your kids to get a good education, great news, you won't have to move out of the state.

Personally, I've always thought that didn't make much sense. I feel my kids are getting a great education, I've got friends and family that are teachers and administrators and know they do an excellent job.

Is it just me? Is it just where I live? I think about both of those questions when I hear someone badmouthing the education system in Illinois.

So five of the best school districts in the entire country are in Illinois. I was kind of blown away by that number.

The other five highest-rated school districts in the US can be found in New York.

Elmbrook School District in Brookfield is the highest-rated Wisconsin school district in America, landing in the 48th spot on the list.

You can see where your school district lands on the list by checking out the entire list at Niche.com.
