Most 15-year-olds are learning how to drive. This Illinois kid just got his master’s degree.

Benyamin Bamburac from Romeoville made history at Lewis University as the youngest person to earn his master’s degree there. In case you were wondering, Lewis has been around for nearly 100 years.

Bamburac graduated with a degree in computer science while specializing in AI. Just in a day’s work for this highly intelligent 15-year-old kid.

That’s because Bamburac already has an Associate’s degree, two bachelor’s degrees, and now a master’s.

It wasn’t like this was sudden either for Bamburac, as he’s essentially been gifted since birth. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Reading fluently at 8 months old.
  • Understanding college-level calculus at age 5.
  • Enrolled in community college at age 9.

Bamburac was getting rides to and from community college because he couldn’t drive.

His family also said public school wasn’t an ideal fit because he was apparently teaching his classmates and, at times, his teachers as well.

As for what’s next, it sounds like Bamburac will be taking some time off after spending the last five years chasing degrees. Maybe he can spend that time working on his driving skills so he can ace the test and get his license. Something tells me that shouldn’t be too big of an issue, though.
