Ten Rockford Area Football Teams Remain in the IHSA Playoffs
It's the best time of the year for local high school football fans.
That's when teams representing many of the area's towns, including Rockford, get to take on the rest of the state.
The Build-Up and Excitement
That's been one of the most intriguing parts of being involved in football in the Rockford area.
The build and the chatter leading up to each big game these next few weeks because it's win or go home.
Ten teams are left vying for a state football title in the Rockford area, and fewer will remain after this weekend.

Must-Watch Matchups
While there are plenty of intriguing matchups, the Byron-Montini rematch from last year's semifinal should be fantastic.
This is a game you won't want to miss.
DuPec taking the three-hour trip south is another intriguing matchup as they try to move on.
Rochelle, looking to stay alive against Benet, is also a game I'll be keeping an eye on.
If you want to see the games and can't watch them in person, you can always watch them on the NFHS app.
