Another Big CherryVale Mall Retailer is Closing
According to a report, Dressbarn is preparing to close all 650 stores. Obviously closing all stores means that will include the CherryVale Mall location.
The company's CFO told USA Today -
"For more than 50 years, Dressbarn has served women's fashion needs, and we thank all of our dedicated associates for their commitment to Dressbarn and our valued customers,” said Steven Taylor, Dressbarn chief financial officer of Dressbarn, in a statement. “This decision was difficult, but necessary, as the Dressbarn chain has not been operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today's retail environment.”
Dressbarn is joining the long list of retailers who are going out of business. With online shopping growing larger and larger, it's a sad trend I'm afraid we're going to be seeing more of in 2019.
